“God loves you. Rest in that. You were created with your personality for a reason. There is only one you. The most powerful thing you can do in life is to enjoy who you are, love yourself and love others. By loving others you are loving Jesus”

Lighten up. Take the pressure off yourself. Most of our defeats and problems arise when we trust in our own efforts and rely on others to see the results we want. You are your Father’s responsibility now. Trust, rely and depend on Him and see the amazing results. He knows what you need even when you don’t know what to ask for!

Never Alone Again

The greatest fear of all perhaps is to be left alone. Many of the destructive patterns in our lives are driven by this fear. To be left alone by parents, friends, partners or lovers. To be left alone. To be abandoned. To be left as an orphan.

Like trying to please others, working for a sense of acceptance and approval, serving others out of a fear of rejection. When we’re afraid for rejection, we’re actually afraid to be left alone. To not have anyone we value care for us. We all long to be loved, valued and appreciated by someone important. We’re not made to live without that. A human being can’t be stable without having a stable and secure foundation of love, acception and appreciation.

eph3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love

Jesus said..

joh14:18 NIV I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

What is it to be an orphan? It is to be a slave, you have to work for your approval and earn your right to be loved. It’s living in insecurity, in self-provision, restlessness and fear of punishment. You always need to take care of yourself, provide for yourself, you cannot truly rest.

Before you came in Christ you were an orphan. You were dead in your tresspasses. You weren’t a son or daughter, but an orphan, dead in your transgressions and a slave to sin.

eph2:4 NASB But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

But something amazing happened. God made you alive together with Christ and seated you with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

rom6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Now what is the whole point of all this? You are united with Christ! Christ lives IN you. It is no longer you that lives, but Christ IN you, the hope of glory (col1:27).

gal2:20 AKJV I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives IN ME: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

rom7:4 NASB Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

1 cor 6:17 But he that is joined to the Lord is ONE spirit.

col1:27 AKJV To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ IN YOU, the hope of glory:

Now the great news about this is that you never have to fear to be left alone, because you are one with Him! How can you ever be afraid to be left alone when you are united with God.

rom8:9 But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

You have the Spirit of Christ. It’s impossible for you to be left alone, because since you are one with Christ, for Him to ‘leave’ you He would have to die and it’s impossible for Christ to die because He is our priest on the basis of[, having] an indestructible life:

heb7:16 one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life.

This is why He said:

heb13:5 NIV Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “NEVER will I leave you; NEVER will I forsake you.

I believe that when you get established in this truth - that you are united with Christ and He cannot and will not leave you, never.. ever - you can start to let go of your effort to hold on to God and relax in His grip on you. You will cease labouring to come closer to Him, knowing you are already one with Him. You will cease your effort trying to hold onto Him and instead rest in the knowledge and understanding that He’s holding on to you.

You are not the one holding on to God, He’s the one holding on to you! That’s why He says: Relax in My grip on you, My Child.

An orphan fears to be left alone. You no longer have a spirit of slavery but a Spirit of sonship! (the Spirit of Christ - rom8:9).

rom8:15 ESV For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear

rom8:15 NIV but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba[*], Father.”

* Abbá – “Father,” also used as the term of tender endearment by a beloved child – i.e. in an affectionate, dependent relationship with their father; “daddy,” “papa.”

And because of this you are His beloved Child who can cry out to God as his Father. He is and wants you to see Him as your Abba, Father, your daddy, your papa!

You can rest in the security of your Sonship in Christ, knowing that you are forever united with Christ and you have a Father that is full of mercy and faithfulness. He will never leave you nor forsake you. You can rest all the days of your life knowing that He will be with you where-ever you go. Whatever situation you are in, whatever you’re going through, know that He is right there with you. Whatever you will do He will be with you always. He will never leave you, nor forsake you. You never have to be afraid again, because He is with you, always.

mat28:20 AKJV Teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you: and, see, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen.

ps118:6 NIV The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

ps23:4 NASB Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You see how in the bible the reason to not fear is mentioned along with having the security that God is with you?

I didn’t want to make this post much longer, but to help you get established in this truth; here a few verses to meditate on:

gal2:20 NASB I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me

1 cor 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is ONE spirit.

rom8:15 AKJV For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption [Sonship], whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

heb13:5 NIV Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.

[…]

God is such a loving and responsible Father, even more than we. Even though we try so hard to keep a hold on Him and hold fast to His word, His hold on us is what keeps us safe and secure. Our faith in our own ability to keep hold on Him is misplaced. Our ability to hold on changes from day to day, but God never changes and He has promised that He will never relax His hold on us.

Trust His ability to hold on to you. He will never relax His hold; you can rest in that truth!

For He God Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let you down, relax My hold on you! Assuredly not!

Hebrews 13:5

Your love will always pierce through the darkest night

—Kim Walker - Father of Lights

In Whom, because of our faith in Him, we dare to have the boldness (courage and confidence) of free access (an unreserved approach to God with freedom and without fear).

—Ephesians 3:12 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Elohim, Jehovah, El Shaddai.. Abba Daddy!

It was the Father’s idea to save you. When we talk about the Father, we’re not belittling Jesus. This was Christ’s goal to reveal the Fathers love. When you touch Jesus, you touch healing.

rom8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Abba was left in the English translation. God does not want you to misunderstand this verse. Abba is the most intimate way to address a father. That’s how most Jewish children call their father. Unless you can call Him like that you have the spirit of bondage to fear. An old testament fear that produces a slavish fear. You have received a spirit of son-ship. Too many Christians have an orphan heart, as if they have no real father.

Don’t come to God like God-man. You’re coming to a Daddy who embraces you, loves you. Jesus said it like this:

Not Elohim, Jehovah, El Shaddai.

joh17:I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world

Father is the fullest revelation of His name. There is power and protection in this Name.

joh17:11 Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

Notice there is power and protection in His name! You never see the disciples falling sick, having a need, needing a psych..

joh17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name

Don’t talk to Him as a far away “Oh Father”, but as “Daddy”. Put your hand on your heart and say “Daddy”. That’s the most powerful prayer. Could it be we live long, young and strong, because we say “Daddy”?

Parable of parables:
A lady who studied on teenage crimes found out that more than 80% of the crimes are committed by teenagers who grew up without a father. Sometimes you can have a father who is physically present, but emotionally absent. Are we in despair because there’s a lot of dysfunctional parents around? No we’re talking about Father God that Jesus is revealing.

The hero of the story is the father.

luk15:11 And he said, A certain man had two sons: 12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

For a son to say give me my share is to say “drop dead” or “I can’t wait for you to die”, because it is given normally when the father dies. He is rejecting the father and whole family. He wants his share now. A father who is totally rejected by His son. The older brother has 2/3 of the inheritance.

13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. 14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. 15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

This father is a rich man, because of the hired servants. How many of you know you have a very rich Father?

16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. 17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, 19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

Did he care for his father? No. He was smart. He was not going back because of his daddy, but because of his belly. They will say the son repented, but he came back because he was hungry, there was no concern for his daddy.

20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. 21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

He didnt have a chance to go through his speech and ask to be a servant. God will never let you be in a place where you have to earn His goodness, blessings!

22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. 25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.

Jesus is saying He wants music and dancing in the Father’s house! Some of you think it’s already a great improvement to move one toe… You haven’t seen nothing yet! The church will be filled with music and dancing. Hallelujah!

29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee

Why are you trying to deserve what what He wants to give freely? His eyes was on his performance, his serving. He didn’t get the point. God promises to supply your needs, regardless of the poverty of us, but according to His unearned riches of grace.

and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: 30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.

We sometimes make most mention of people’s sins we are most involved in.

32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

Holy Spirit ready to come on you. When you feel like crying, cry.

20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him

The father was always looking out for his son. The father always scanning the horizon. You can be far away but your father sees you. Not in a way that is faultfinding. He sees your need for him. You tend to look at the one you love. When you love someone you look at the person.

and had compassion

This father lost possessions because of his son. Was ridiculed because of it. But he has compassion in his heart. This word for compassion is talking about his very emotions being involved. Just like Jesus in mark6. Has the son repented yet? No. This story is about a son. Have you experienced the Father’s love? Everyone is longing for the father’s love and we have a Father like that, who loves us. Prodigal is extravagant, extra in giving, that is the father here.

and ran

In the Greek: To run in a race. To run fast. To sprint. Our feet tend to follow our heart. He has been longing for the boy with compassion for days and nights. Before the boy repented.

Our Heavenly Father

Matthew 6:8-13

When Christ taught His disciples to pray, He told them to address God as “Our Father.” They had previously heard Jesus say, “My Father,” but now they, too, shared in that privileged family relationship. All of us who has been born again into the household of God have this same right.

Since our concepts of God are shaped by our earthly fathers, we all have different perceptions of Him, but Jesus is the only one who has a completely accurate understanding of the heavenly Father. Consider some of the ways He cares for His children:

• Loves: God’s love is unconditional, since it’s based on His nature rather than our performance (1 John 4:16).

• Listens: When we pray, He gives us His full attention (Ps. 55:16-17).

• Provides: The Father assumes responsibility for meeting all our needs (Phil. 4:19).

* Guides: He is the one who directs our path when we trust in Him (Prov. 3:5-6).

• Protects: The Lord shields us spiritually, emotionally, and physically, sifting every experience through His sovereign fingers. (Ps. 121:1-8).

• Stays: He’s not an absentee parent, since He’ll never leave or forsake us (Deut. 31:8).

•  Disciplines: The Lord disciplines us
for our good, so that we may share in His holiness (Heb. 12:5-11).

Though experiences with our earthly dads may have distorted our view of the heavenly Father, we can learn to see Him as He truly is. By viewing Him through the truth of Scripture instead of our preconceptions, we will see evidence of His loving care and discover a security we’ve never known before.
